Description
This HO scale 40-foot single-dome tank car in Southern Pacific livery, car number 62820, recreates a riveted-era design delivered between the late 1920s and early 1940s. These cars were common across North America, serving private owners in their heyday and later being repurposed for maintenance-of-way work to provide water for operations on Class I railroads, with some examples remaining in service into the 21st century.
The model features a prototypical, detailed body, blackened metal wheels, body-mounted E-Z Mate couplers, separately applied ladders, and metal wrap-around grab irons, delivering a faithful representation for HO layouts and realistic operation.
