Description
Hereis an Atlas 20000304 HO Scale ACF Trailer Train 89’4″ Flat Car 974830. The ACF 89′ 4″ flat car was introduced in the late 60s due to the increasing need for intermodal platform capacity. The Atlas model is based on the 1973 version, originally designed to carry two trailers or containers. These cars have been used by Trailer Train and various railroads in intermodal service since then. Many were modified in the late 80s to accommodate longer trailers. Most remaining in TTX service today have been modified with three hitches to accommodate up to three shorter package trailers. This car features plastic construction, plastic trucks, metal wheels and axles, and knuckle couplers.
