Description
This HO-scale model reproduces a 50-foot Pullman Standard boxcar from the 1970s, representing the era’s per diem fleet and ideal for building an authentic period layout. With the outside-post design and varied door configurations typical of PS boxcars, it captures the look and proportions that defined mid-century railroading.
Details include separately applied wire grab irons, brake wheel and end ladders, etched end platforms, and 33-inch solid nickel-silver RP25 wheels for realistic rolling. The car is weighted for stable handling and uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers; it arrives decorated and ready to run, with a minimum 18-inch radius required on HO track for smooth operation.
