Description
HO scale 50-foot PS 5344 box car, CCR 6727, is a faithfully detailed, ready-to-run model that recreates a classic Pullman Standard 50-foot boxcar from the 1970s. Fully decorated and prepared to roll right out of the box, it brings authentic period-railroading character to HO layouts.
Features include separately applied wire grab irons, brake wheel and end ladders, and etched end platforms, along with machined 33-inch solid nickel-silver RP25 wheels. The model is weighted for reliable operation and uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers for smooth, prototypical handling. The injection-molded, highly detailed body, combined with an 18-inch minimum radius, ensures solid performance on typical HO track. The design nods to the mid-1970s per diem boxcar boomâ€â€the 50-foot PS outside-post configuration with varied door options that were common then and continue to be seen today through rebuilds for leasing fleets.
